Curtin University was established as Australia’s first university of technology and is a member of Australian Technology Network.
Curtin University opened a Singapore-based campus on 23 November 2008.[25][26] Curtin Singapore courses use the same structure and unit curriculum as those offered at the Bentley campus.
Curtin University opened its fourth international campus in Mauritius on 3 May 2018.
Funding from major Chinese companies connected to the state have led to concerns that Curtin University has limited academic freedom on certain topics.
