- Today, the Loyalist name prominently graces the doors at Loyalist College and continues to grow, improve and lead the way for post-secondary education.
- Two years later, the demand for more space and resourceful teaching led to the construction of the Lennox and Addington Wing to house the School of Technology and Retraining.
- The demand for more skilled trades workers inspired an additional expansion in 2010-11 with the construction of the Bay of Quinte Skills Centre. This state-of-the-art 121,800-square foot facility was built with a $16.6 million investment from the provincial and federal governments.

About University
Loyalist College was found in 1967 and is situated on the serene shores of Lake Ontario in the city of Belleville. The campus is in a huge space of 200 acres. Loyalist College is perceived for its solid, spearheading presence, network resolve, assurance and ground breaking pioneers. The College mirrors its settlement in the district where the school was set up getting its name from the United Empire Loyalists.
Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology is the formal name of the Loyalist College. The college’s activities were completed at a neighborhood school in the beginning. There is one more campus of Loyalist College that is located in Bancroft, Ontario. The campus has cutting edge labs, study halls and workshops. It also has the Digital Media Center, Student Access Labs, Health Center, Spa, Library, Bay of Quinte Skills Center, Student Center, Fitness Center, Student Spaces, Bioscience Labs, Renovated Northumberland Wing, Dining Hall, Campus Bookstore and Conference Facilities.
The College offers many programs – Post-Secondary Programs, College Access Programs, Apprenticeships, Justice Studies, Skilled Trades and Technology, Media Studies, Health and Human Studies, Training and Certification Services, Postgraduate Programs, General Education Courses, and Motorcycle Training.
Four newly furnished residence buildings have been added to accommodate the international students as well. There are five suite-style residence buildings which can accommodate up to 466 students. The College keeps on taking a stab at these noteworthy standings and now positions among the top schools in Canada. This College is a network — a very close assortment of novel and skilled people meeting up to assemble a more promising time to come.
