About University
Founded in 1970, the Manukau Institute of Technology is considered to be Auckland’s largest technology institute. One of the most current NZQA assessment, which ranked MIT as grade One, the highest achieveable ranking, the institution’s reputation as the leading provider of technical and professional education has been recognized. There are seven schools in Manukau and a school based on degree education. Subjects as different as industry, culinary and hospitality studies, creative writing, engineering and automotive technology are covered by the seven faculties. The opportunity for foreign students is to choose from a range of authorized certification, diplomas and degrees in a number of disciplines, including engineering, digital technology, business, education and nursing.
In order to enhance the learning environment, MIT provides students with top level programs and support. Students get personal and centered tuition with limited class sizes, strengthened by the inclusion of student projects structured in partnership with creative companies.MIT even provides foundation courses for students seeking to prepare for higher education, including English language courses in the event that students need to obtain a degree of language skills to enter a college.
