Whitireia is a leading institution for higher education in New Zealand, previously known as the Whitireia Community Polytechnic. It is managed and sponsored by the government. The institution was founded in the year 1986 in Porirua Harbour as a community college. In the year 2011, Whitireia introduced its existing name. Whitireia is a higher education technology institute managed and funded by the government, known for its high student achievement ratings and diversity of the student body. Whitireia has five campuses in Auckland , Petone , porirua and wellington. The porirua campus is the primary campus of the whitireia. it is one of the nation’s most magnificent institutional locations.
