Formed in the year 1930, the University of Teesside is an open university of engineering associated with the University Collaboration. It received a university title in 1992, and the University of London accepted the degree courses offered at the university. It has received nine National Teaching Fellowships for quality teaching excellence. The Queen’s Anniversary Prize was awarded in 2013 to Teesside University for excellent work in the area of entrepreneurship and business interaction.
The Darlington campus, spread over 15,890 square ft. of land, is the university’s biggest and latest campus. The Institution has five academic colleges in various fields of education and provides many of the various courses to students and offers a wide range of options. Subjects such as Aerospace engineering, animation, chemical engineering, bioinformatics, civil engineering, structural engineering and computer science are some of the core subject.
The college offers programs for undergraduate students and post-graduates. With well-experienced lecturers, students get excellent opportunity to learn more about core subjects. In the study program, the university also gives students large potential to understand a various teaching structure. The Teesside University Alumni network offers various university graduation benefits to its alumni. For each event and conference, the alumni are invited from the university side and can maintain contact with the university. The academy celebrates the achievements of university’s most successful and inspiring alumni to those who has done prestigious recognition in their field.
