Highlights

The University of Strathclyde Centre for Sports, Health and Wellbeing is a leisure facility undergoing construction situated adjacent to 100 Cathedral Street. Construction began in November 2016 and completed in 2019.
In addition to the Technology and Innovation Centre, a 5000m2 Industry Engagement Building is located adjacent to the TIC building.
We are in the UK’s top 20 universities for research intensity according to the Times Higher Education’s analysis of REF2014. Strathclyde has a triple accredited Business school (AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS) and one of the largest and best equipped Engineering faculties in Scotland.
The University of Strathclyde was founded in 1796, making it one of the oldest higher education institutions in Glasgow, Scotland. Initially founded under the name The Andersonian Institute, it holds the distinction of being the first technological university, receiving this distinction in 1964.

The University of Strathclyde , situated in Glasgow, Scotland , is a higher education institution. Formed in 1976 as the Andersonian university , it is the oldest college in Glassgow. As the first major academic university in the UK , it received its Royal charter in 1964. The university continues to be dedicated to science , teaching, valuable education and employability.
